ILWU Bargaining Update:  Oct. 4, 2002

The Technology Subcommittees of the ILWU and the PMA met with federal mediators until 11:30 p.m. Thursday.  Our meetings on Friday began at 9 a.m. and are expected to continue into the evening.  We have had a constructive dialogue, though we have reached no resolutions on the technology question.  The ILWU continues to express hope that we can reach an agreement.  It is our hope that the good work will continue when the full committees meet tomorrow beginning at 10 a.m.
