BARGAINING UPDATE

July 19, 2002

No bargaining is scheduled today out of respect for the family of Robert “Bobby” Olvera, Sr. who passed away on July 13, 2002 at the age of 69.

The International officers and the Coast Committee are attending the memorial services for Brother Olvera in Southern California.  Bobby served as a Coast Committeeman from 1983 through 1989 when ill health forced him into retirement. He held numerous offices in Local 13 and was a veteran of the Korean War.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 34 years Georgia Olvera, two daughters and two sons, three grandchildren, and two brothers and two sisters.
